*As we adjust our work practices due the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary changes have been made to our shipping and delivery policy to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our clients and staff. 

 

Orders generally ship from our warehouse within 3-5 business days

 

HOME DÉCOR AND ACCENT FURNITURE

 

 

IN-STORE PICK-UP (HUNTSVILLE LOCATION)

If you choose to pick up your order using our curbside pickup option, a member of our customer care team will contact you directly via e-mail shortly after your order has been placed, to make private curbside pickup arrangements. You must present your receipt at the time of pick-up in order for us to be able to release your items to you. If you prefer to have your items picked up at one of our locations outside of Huntsville, we are happy to make that possible – please log into your Account and log a ticket with us so that your request is attached to your order. Please specify in the request which of our showrooms is your preferred pickup location. If you do request to pick up at another store location, you may incur additional charges – a member of our customer care team will walk you through this thoroughly.

 As we have limited warehouse space, we encourage prompt pickup of your orders after we notify you. Orders that are not picked up within 14 days of notification become subject to 2.5% of the order total including tax per week for storage fees.

 

COURIER & CANADA POST

Accessories and smaller items ship via Courier or Canada Post. The shipping cost is calculated at checkout and is determined by the destination and weight of the parcel. Orders shipped via Courier or Canada Post are delivered Monday through Friday, between 8am and 5pm. Please note that a signature may be required upon reception of the order. Options for Express shipping may be available for an additional charge. Orders typically ship from our Huntsville warehouse within 3-5 business days.

Free delivery is available to most major cities for orders totalling $250 before taxes. For postal codes located outside of the free delivery zone, additional shipping fees will apply.  An ODA charge is applicable for orders shipped to Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland & Labrador. ** The Cutter’s Edge reserves the right to make any necessary changes to this promotion without prior disclaimer.

 

FURNITURE DELIVERY

(IN-HOME DELIVERY)

Furniture orders are delivered through a local in-home delivery service, offered at a flat rate based on your delivery address. Once your order is ready to ship, a member of our customer care team will  contact you via e-mail to schedule a delivery date. As we have limited warehouse space, orders that do not get delivered within 14 days of us notifying you will be subject to additional storage fees. Once the delivery service receives your merchandise from our warehouse, they will contact you with an estimated arrival time.  

 

IN-HOME DELIVERY POLICY

Orders must be scheduled for delivery within 14 days of becoming available to ship. Each delivery is on a single-address basis and an able-bodied adult must be present to accept the delivery. The delivery company will request that you sign a form indicating that your order was received in full and in proper working order.

The Cutter’s Edge cannot be held responsible if the delivery company is unable to respect their agreed-upon delivery window due to unpredictable circumstances.

 

DELIVERY PROCEDURES

Many of the items will be delivered ready-to-assemble. Existing furniture pieces in your home will not be moved or disposed of, unless prearranged and paid directly to the delivery company. In the event that elevators are not available or nonexistent, the delivery service will deliver up to a maximum of two (2) flights of stairs. The customer must allow and ensure safe access to the site for the delivery service and transportation vehicle (including an appropriate parking area). All obstacles and walkways must be cleared before delivery. The responsibility is incumbent on the customer to measure all doorways, hallways and stairwells.

Upon delivery, there will be no alterations to any doors, trims, moldings or light fixtures to accommodate passage of the products. Should the merchandise not fit through the passage, the delivery charge will not be refunded and a return fee may be charged. It is your responsibility to arrange alternate delivery options and ensure that your custom piece be transported back to you within 7 days. The more times your furniture piece is relocated the more chances there are for damages. The Cutter’s Edge is not responsible for any damages on items being returned and transported. The delivery service will not remove their safety boots. Please ensure to protect your floors for the delivery.

 

INSPECTING YOUR DELIVERY

Upon receipt of your order, please ensure that you have received all the items purchased.  It is recommended that you review your packing slip before the delivery service leaves and advise them of any discrepancies.

MODIFYING/RESCHEDULING/CANCELLING YOUR DELIVERY

No modifications are guaranteed. Please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request.

Should you be unavailable for the scheduled delivery, another delivery fee may be charged for rescheduling or cancelling the order within three (3) business days of the scheduled shipping date and/or while the merchandise is in transit.

 

PREPARING FOR YOUR DELIVERY

Please verify specific measurements relating to your home and new furniture prior to receiving your delivery. It is not the responsibility of The Cutter’s Edge or the delivery service if your new custom furniture does not fit. You will be responsible for any additional charges due to elongated delivery time.

 

MEASURE YOUR LIVING SPACE

In order to ensure a safe and efficient passage for the delivery service, measure the heights and widths of hallways and door accesses. This includes elevators for apartment/condominium buildings.
